The Therapy Center of Texas provides personalized speech and language therapy for children and adults in The Woodlands and surrounding communities. We offer care in English and Spanish, with goals shaped around each person’s needs.

We work with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to support communication in everyday life. Compassion, integrity, teamwork, and individualized care guide our approach.

Meet Tina Degge, M.A., CCC-SLP

Founder · Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist · U.S. Navy Veteran

Tina brings over a decade of experience supporting children and adults in clinical, school, and home-health settings. Her work includes developmental communication needs and rehabilitation following stroke and other neurological injuries.

Education and credentials

• Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, University of Houston, 2013

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

• Speech-language pathology licenses in Texas, Colorado, and Washington

Tina completed clinical externships at Texas Children’s Hospital and TIRR Memorial Hermann. As a former adjunct professor at the University of Houston, she mentored graduate clinicians and served two terms as president of the Communication Sciences & Disorders Alumni Chapter.

A commitment to service

During her Navy service, Tina worked as a Spanish-language Cryptologic Technical Interpreter and received the Joint Service Commendation Medal in 2003. Her community work includes leadership with redM, a nonprofit focused on ending human trafficking.

Tina believes communication is a basic human right. Her faith and commitment to serving diverse communities inform care that respects each person’s language, culture, and story—from a child’s first words to an adult’s recovery after a stroke.
